This week's I ♥ Faces challenge is "Nostalgia". The picture I chose was taken back in 2007 during my family's annual Sargent Family Camp-a-Thon. The tent in the photo is the item that brings back some great memories from my childhood. I grew up camping during the summer months with my family in Northern Michigan. Camping holds many fond memories for me as, for at least a weekend, everyone got along and had a good time. Since moving to New York City in 2000, the camping trip in 2007 was the first time I had been able to join in on the fun in over 10 years. In addition, it was the first time my husband had been on one of our family camping trips.
This picture was taken on the last day of our trip. It also happened to be the day after a huge thunderstorm. My cousin's daughter had a blast stomping around in the giant puddle that had formed in our tent.
